Michelle Bridges Endorsement

Dear Bull Tough,
I would like to take this time and Thank You for what you have added to
The sport of Rough Stock Riding. I have a son, Dustin Bridges that is
11 years old and is now riding steers. This year he was the YRA year-end
champion and out of 26 buckles that he has won 22 are in the rough
stock event. He has been riding rough stock of some sort since the age of
five. At a Labor Day Rodeo in 2000 we thought that we had him fully
protected from the sport that he loves. We had the Pro-Tex protective
vest, the fancy cowhide chaps, and what we thought was one of our best
investments a Hockey helmet. Cheaper than the Bull Tough Helmet that we
had priced.) Rodeo is an expensive hobby, but I would like to inform
parents of rough stock riders that there are places that you can cut
the budget. Like maybe the fancy chaps, the expensive rope, so on. But
please chose wisely when you are getting the helmet.
The Hockey helmet was built to play hockey, not rough stock riding.
The Steers horn that my son was on that Labor Day fit between the bars of
the facemask. And at 2:00am we were in the emergency room and soon to
be in the operating room. It broke every bone in Dustin's nose and left a
gash (to close to his eye for comfort) that he had to have plastic
surgery on. That day I swore that I would never put my self in that
position again. We were going to stop riding rough stock all together.
We all agreed on this, until my son got out of the hospital and a month
later we was ready to go again. It took some talking to get us to agree
to let him play in the sport that he loves so much. But with a lot more
research this time we chose the Bull Tough helmet. I tell everyone I
see wearing the hockey helmet my story, some it makes a difference and
others I'm sorry to say have to find out the hard way. Our cowboys are
too important, please let us be the ones that had to find out the hard
way. BUY BULL TOUGH! Sincerely,

Michelle Bridges
